    Let \(\Lambda\) be a self-similar \(1\)-set in \(\mathbb{R}^2\), i.e., \(0<\mathcal{H}^1(\Lambda)<\infty\) for the one-dimensional Hausdorff measure. Assume, in addition, that \(\Lambda\) satisfies the open set condition and \(\Lambda\) is not a line. Then the main result of this paper, Theorem~1.1, states that \(\Lambda\) is invisible from every \(a\in\mathbb{R}^2\). This means that \(P_a(\Lambda\setminus\{a\})\) has zero length where \(P_a\) is the radial projection from \(a\in\mathbb{R}^2\), \(P_a : \mathbb{R}^2\setminus\{a\} \to S^1\), \(P_a(x)=(x-a)/| x-a|\). This result has some connection to \textit{P. Mattila}'s paper [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 266, 539--554 (1981; Zbl 0479.31003)].
