The authors study some submersions \(\mathbb{R}^n\to {\mathbb{R}^m}\) which are generalizations to higher dimensions of some submersions considered by Costa and Gonzalez-Gascón, Watanabe, Miyoshi etc. They consider the following problem. Let \(\mathcal{F}\) be a set formed by a finite union of codimension \(m\) topologically closed oriented submanifolds (compact or not) with trivial normal bundle. Let \(\mathfrak{S}\) be a finite set of vector fields on \(\mathbb{R}^n\), leaving \(\mathcal{F}\) invariant. The authors are interested in finding submersions \(f:\mathbb{R}^n\to {\mathbb{R}^m}\) which are invariant under \(\mathfrak{S}\) and such that \(f^{-1}(0)=\mathcal{F}\). They study the internal and external symmetries of a submersion, submersions symmetric under globally hyperbolic vector fields, symmetries without global submersions, symmetries without fixed points and submersions, and submersions \(\mathbb{R}^3\to {\mathbb{R}^m};\;m=1,2\).
