Starting with the fuzzy metric space introduced by George and Veeramani, the authors next consider the Hutton \([0,1]\)-quasi-uniformity induced by the said fuzzy metric space. The basic consideration here is the completeness of Hutton \([0,1]\)-quasi-uniform space. In the process, the authors define the concept of stratified and tight Cauchy \([0,1]\)-filter and prove the equivalence between completeness of any fuzzy metric space and completeness of the induced Hutton \([0,1]\)-quasi-uniformity. It is also proved that the Hutton \([0,1]\)-quasi-uniform space has, in this context, a kind of completion that is unique up to uniform isomorphism; in the process the concept of `density' of a subset of a fuzzy metric space in the induced uniform space is defined.
