Let \(p\geq 11\) be a prime number. Let \(F_{p,a}\) be the smooth projective closure of the curve defined by \(v^p=u^a(i-u)\), where \(a\in \{2,\dots,p-3\}\) and \(a\neq (p-1)/2\). Under these hypothesis \(F_{p,a}\) is a non-hyperelliptic curve of genus \((p-1)/2\). Let \(C_{p,a}=\{(0,0),(1,0),\infty\}\). Fix \(c\in C_{p,a}\). Consider the embedding \(\Psi:P \to [P-c]\) of \(C_{p,a}\) into the Jacobian \(J_{p,a}\) of \(F_{p,a}\). It is easy to see that \(\Psi(C_{p,a}) \subset (J_{p,a})_{\text{tors}}\). The main result of this paper is that the other inclusion holds, namely \(\Psi(C_{p,a})=(J_{p,a})_{\text{tors}}\subset \Psi(F_{p,a})\).
