The authors consider the Burnside problem for subgroups of \(C^2\) symplectomorphism groups \(\text{Symp}(M)\). The main result is the following: Given a four-dimensional symplectic manifold \(M\) such that its fundamental class is the product of one-dimensional classes, any finitely generated subgroup \(G \subset \text{Symp}(M)\) having only elements of finite order is finite.
