Let \(f\) and \(g\) be two meromorphic functions in the complex plane \(\mathbb{C}\). We say that \(f\) and \(g\) share a finite value \(a\) CM (IM) if and only if \(f-a\) and \(g-a\) have the same zeros with counting multiplicities (with ignoring multiplicities), and share the infinity if and only if \(1/f\) and \(1/g\) share \(0\) CM (IM). In this paper, the author proves that if \(f\) and \(g\) share \(0, 1\), and \(\infty\) CM, and if \(a \) is a non-constant small meromorphic function of \(f\) and \(g\) such that \(\bar{E}_{1)}(a, f)\subset \bar{E}(a, g)\), then \(f\) and \(g\) satisfy either \((f-a)(g+a-1)=a(1-a)\), or \(f+(a-1)g=a\) or \(f=ag\). The theorem is an improvement of several previous results.
