The authors explicitly construct mixing rank one actions \(T\) of the group \(G=\mathbb{R}^{d_1}\times\mathbb{Z}^{d_2}\), for any \(d_1,d_2\in \mathbb{Z}^+\). The first such explicit construction of a rank one mixing transformation \((d_1=0,d_2=1))\) was given by \textit{I. M. Adams} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 126, No.~3, 739--744 (1998; Zbl 0906.28006)] who showed that the staircase construction is mixing . Further \(\mathbb{Z}^d\) examples were given by \textit{T. Adams} and \textit{C. E. Cilva} [Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 19, No.~4, 837--850 (1999; Zbl 0939.28013)]. The approach used is in the framework of \((C,F)\)-actions due to \textit{A. del Junco} [Isr. J. Math. 104, 301--320 (1998; Zbl 0915.28011)], which the authors extend to the case of actions of locally compact 2nd countable Abelian groups.
