Theorem. Let \(E\) be a real strictly convex and reflexive Banach space with a uniform Gâteaux differentiable norm and \(C\) be a nonempty closed convex subset of \(E\). Consider the iterative sequence \[ x_{n+1}=\lambda_{n+1}f(x_{n})+\beta x_{n}+(1-\beta-\lambda_{n+1})W_{n}x_{n}, \] where \(W_{n}\) is the \(W\)-mapping generated by the infinite countable family of nonexpansive mappings \(T_{n},T_{n-1},\dots,T_{1}\) and scalars \(\{\alpha_{i}\}_{i=1}^{n}\subset [0,1]\) such that the common fixed point sets \(F:= \bigcap _{n=1}^{\infty } \neq \varnothing\) and \(f: C \to C\) is a given contractive mapping. Under very mild conditions on the parameters, the sequence \(\{ x_{n}\}\) converges strongly to \(p\in F\), where \(p\) is the unique solution to the variational inequality \[ \langle (I-f)p, j(p-x^{*})\rangle\geq 0\text{ for all }x^{*}\in F. \]
