Positive interpolation operators with exponential-type weights (Q2375541)

The authors introduce two sequences of interpolatory positive linear operators on the real line \(\mathbb{R}\). One of them, similar to the sequence investigated by \textit{A. Knopfmacher} [J. Approximation Theory 46, 182--203 (1986; Zbl 0604.41025)], has the property of Hermite-Fejér interpolation. The second sequence is of Shepard type. For both sequences the weighted \(L_p\)-convergence is investigated in terms of Freud-type and Erdős-type weights.
