Bounds on the distance energy and the distance Estrada index of strongly quotient graphs (Q2375633)

Summary: The notion of strongly quotient graph (SQG) was introduced by \textit{C. Adiga} et al. [Southeast Asian J. Math. Math. Sci. 5, No. 2, 119--127 (2007; Zbl 1131.05061)]. In this paper, we obtain some better results for the distance energy and the distance Estrada index of any connected strongly quotient graph (CSQG) as well as some relations between the distance Estrada index and the distance energy. We also present some bounds for the distance energy and the distance Estrada index of CSQG whose diameter does not exceed two. Additionally, we show that our results improve most of the results obtained by \textit{A.\,D.Güngör} and \textit{F. Bozkurt} [Hacet. J. Math. Stat. 38, No.\,3, 277--283 (2009; Zbl 1194.05032)] and \textit{A. Zaferani} [Bull. Iran. Math. Soc. 34, No. 2, 97--114 (2008; Zbl 1167.05045)].
