The authors study the finite time blow up of smooth solutions to the compressible Navier-Stokes system \[ \frac{\partial\rho}{\partial t}+\operatorname{div}(\rho u)=0, \] \[ \frac{\partial\rho u}{\partial t}+\operatorname{div}(\rho u\otimes u)+\bigtriangledown p=\operatorname{div} T,\quad (x,t)\in\Omega\times \mathbb{R}_+, \] \[ \frac{\partial\rho E}{\partial t}+\operatorname{div}(\rho Eu+pu)=\operatorname{div}(uT)+k\triangle\theta, \] when the initial data is taken as \[ \rho(x,0)=\rho_0(x), u(x,0)=u_0(x), E(x,0)=E_0(x), x)\in\Omega, d\geq2. \] According to the authors any classical solutions of viscous compressible fluids without heat conduction will blow up in finite time, as long as the initial data has a so-called isolated mass group. Furthermore, the authors show that any classical solutions of viscous compressible fluids without heat conduction in bounded domains or periodic domains will blow up in finite time, if the initial data have an isolated mass group satisfying some suitable conditions.
