In this work, the authors consider a class of coupled map lattices which are built out of subsystems indexed by the lattice \(\mathbb Z^d\) and which are weakly coupled together. For this class of systems, the total energy \(E =\sum_{x\in \mathbb Z^d} E(t,x)\) is conserved, but the energy density obeys the (discrete space-time) equation \[ E(t+1,x) = E(t,x) + \nabla \cdot \mathbf{J}_t(x, E(t),\omega). \] Here \(\mathbf{J}_t\) is some random field defined on some probability space and \(\nabla \cdot \mathbf{J}_t\) is a discrete version of the divergence. The main goal of the authors is to show that in a suitable scaling limit, the function \(E(t)\) diffuses almost surely. The proof of this result is achieved by means of the renormalization group method. The authors are also using some properties of the Gibbs state and the Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen (SRB) measures in establishing a corollary of their central result.
