The authors consider the second-order discrete \(p\)-Laplacian system \[ \Delta\big(\varphi_p(\Delta u(n-1))\big)-a(n)|u(n)|^{p-2}\, u(n)+\nabla W(n,u(n))=0, \] where \(p>1\), \(\varphi_p(s)=|s|^{p-2}s\), \(n\in\mathbb{Z}\), \(u\in\mathbb{R}^N\), \(a:\mathbb{Z}\to\mathbb{R}\), \(W:\mathbb{Z}\times\mathbb{R}^N\to\mathbb{R}\), and \(\Delta\) denotes the forward difference operator. In the main results (see Theorems 1.1--1.3), sufficient conditions for the existence of an unbounded sequence of homoclinic solutions (i.e., solutions \(u(n)\) such that \(u(n)\to0\) as \(n\to\pm\infty\)) are established. In Section~2, some notation is introduced and some auxiliary results are collected including the symmetric mountain pass theorem, which represents the main tool of the proofs. In Section 3, the proofs of the main results can be found. Finally, several illustrative examples are provided in Section 4.
