Modular and distributive congruence lattices of monounary algebras (Q2376923)

\textit{D. P. Egorova} [Uporyad. Mnozhestva Reshetki 5, 11--44 + a loose table (1978; Zbl 0402.08004)] investigated properties of the congruence lattice of a given monounary algebra. By means of the graph corresponding to a monounary algebra, she described all monounary algebras with modular (distributive, respectively) congruence lattices. The authors of the present paper deal with the following representation problems: Characterize all modular (distributive, respectively) lattices which are, up to isomorphism, conruence lattices of some monounary algebra. The description of such lattices is given, and they are presented as direct products of disjoint unions of some special lattices (e.g., chains, \(M_3\)-head lattices, \(M_3\)-flags).
