In this paper, sharp bounds for the volume of a convex body in terms of quermassintegrals are obtained. First an upper bound for the volume of a convex body in terms of the first quermassintegral and a finite sum of mixed volumes involving the body itself, its kernel, its form body and the gauge body \(E\) is obtained. Another basic theorem provides bounds for the volume of the whole family of inner parallel bodies. The cases of equality are discussed, too.
