The authors study the homology with rational coefficients of the \(n\)-fold loop space \(\Omega^nX\) of an \(n\)-connected topological space \(X\). They extend Fred Cohen's description of \(H_*(\Omega^nX;\mathbb Q)\) as an algebra over the homology of the little \(n\)-disks operad, cf. \textit{F. R. Cohen, T. I. Lada} and \textit{J. P. May} [The homology of iterated loop spaces, Lect. Notes Math. 533. Berlin-Heidelberg-New York: Springer-Verlag (1976; Zbl 0334.55009)] by considering \(X\) as equipped with a trivial \(SO(n)\)-action. This allows the authors to describe \(H_*(\Omega^nX;\mathbb Q)\) as an algebra over the homology \(H_*(fD_n;\mathbb Q)\) of the framed little disks operad, cf. \textit{E. Getzler} [Commun. Math. Phys. 159, No. 2, 265--285 (1994; Zbl 0807.17026)]. Moreover, relating the framed little disks action to the classical \(J\)-homorphism, the authors succeed in proving that \(H_*(\Omega^nX;\mathbb Q)\) is in a certain precise sense freely generated by its primitive part \(\pi_*(\Omega_nX)\otimes\mathbb Q\) as an algebra over \(H_*(fD_n;\mathbb Q)\). At the end, the authors show that an analogous result cannot hold in characteristic \(2\).
