Let \(X\) be a Tychonoff space and \(\beta X \) the Čech-Stone compactification of \(X\). If \(f: X \to X\) is a continuous map, then we denote by \(\tilde{f} \) the continuous extension of \(f\) over \(\beta X \). By definition \(X\) has the filter-to-point property if every continuous map \(f:X \to X\) has a fixed point if \(\tilde{f}: \beta X \to \beta X \) has a fixed point. The author investigate invariability of this property under basic topological operations.
