Approximation for constant \(e\) and its applications (Q2379023)

The authors prove the identity (for \(x>0,c\in (0,1])\) \[ \left(\frac{1+x}{x}\right)= e\left(1-\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\frac{a_n}{(cx+1)^n}\right)^c, \] where \(a_n>0\) and given by an explicite recursion formula. As applications new generalizations of Carleman's and Hardy's inequalities are given.
