The authors provide sufficient conditions for the existence of symplectic Runge-Kutta methods of stage \(2s\) that integrate exactly initial value problems whose exact solution is a trigonometric polynomial of order \(s\) with a prescribed frequency. Then, they describe how to construct such formulas and provide an analysis of their fundamental properties. Numerical examples are discussed too.
