The error norm of Gauss-Radau quadrature formulae for Chebyshev weight functions (Q2379360)

This paper is devoted to compute or estimate the norm of the functional error when dealing with Gauss-Radau quadrature formulae with respect to any one of the four Chebyshev weight functions. These formulae are considered with an additional node at \(-1\) or \(1\), though the computation is the same for both cases. It is shown that the error norm can be computed explicitly for almost all the weights, with the exception of those of the third and fourth kind. The results obtained in the article are compared with those of \textit{W. Gautschi} [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 21, No. 1, 209--226 (1991; Zbl 0749.41026)].
