The following semilinear heat equation is considered: \[ \begin{cases} u_t = \Delta u+K(x)u^p+\mu f(x) & \text{ in } \mathbb{R}^n\times (0,T),\\ u(x,0) = \varphi & \text{ in } \mathbb{R}^n, \end{cases} \] where \(n\geq 3\), \(p>1\), \(\mu\geq 0\), \(T>0\) and \(\varphi\not\equiv 0\) is a bounded continuous nonnegative function in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). \(K\) and \(f\) are locally Hölder continuous functions in \(\mathbb{R}^n\setminus \{0\}\) and satisfy certain growth conditions at \(0\) and \(\infty\). The author proves weak asymptotic stability of positive steady states of the equation with respect to weighted uniform norms. In the first part of the paper, the author also restates the main results in an earlier publication that contains errors. The reader is referred to \textit{S. Bae} [J. Differ.
