The author deals with the golden splitting method for solving a linear system, whose coefficient matrix is an \(M\)-matrix or an \(H\)-matrix. In particular, two-stage iterative methods and multisplitting methods are used, which were already studied by many authors in the literature. Here convergence theorems are provided for multisplitting methods associated with various types of multisplittings. Then a parallel implementation of the two-stage multisplitting method associated with a special multisplitting is studied. Numerical experiments enlighten the features of the proposed methods.
