The paper under review gives an abstract and quite technical construction to add more exact structure on a stable category of a Frobenius category than just the triangulated category structure. First, the notion of complexes is generalised to structures indexed by integers. Then it is remarked that two shift structures are possible on each of the generalised complex structures. A Heller triangulation is then a choice of a sequence of isomorphisms, one for each index and compatible with some natural operations. The author constructs such a structure on the stable category of a Frobenius category. Moreover he proves that given a Heller triangulated category, as introduced by him, in which idempotents split, then the restriction to ordinary complexes induce a triangulated category in the sense of Verdier. The actual constructions are highly involved.
