Periodic solutions for extended Fisher-Kolmogorov and Swift-Hohenberg equations by truncature techniques (Q2381488)

The authors use an interesting truncature procedure due to De Figueiredo, Girardi and Matzeu to prove the existence of a (nontrivial) solution for a fourth order boundary value problem by the use of a variational method involving the mountain pass geometry. As a consequence, they also get the existence of a periodic solution, under some symmetry assumption.
