Let \(\mathcal{A}\) be the class of analytic functions in the unit disc \(U=\{z:| z| <1\}\) normalized such that \(f(0)=f'(0)-1=0.\) Also let \({\mathcal{U}}(\lambda)\subset {\mathcal{A}}\) consist of functions such that \[ \left| f'(z)\left( \frac{z}{f(z)}\right)^2-1\right| \leq\lambda, \] for all \(z\in U.\) In this paper the authors give conditions on \(\lambda\) and complex \(c\) for univalence and starlikeness of the function \[ G(z)=G_f^c (z)=\frac{z}{(z/f(z))*F(1,c;c+1;z)}, \] where \(\Re c\geq0\neq c\) and \((z/f(z))*F(1,c;c+1;z)\neq0.\) Here \(F(a,b; c;z)\) is the Gauss hypergeometric function and * is the Hadamard product.
