The authors study Hamiltonian-minimal Lagrangian submanifolds of complex space forms. Trivial examples of Hamiltonian minimal Lagrangian immersions are minimal Lagrangian immersions and Lagrangian immersions with parallel mean curvature vector. Besides those examples, few explicit examples of Hamiltonian minimal Lagrangian immersions are known. Most of them have been discovered in the last decade and are immersions into \(\mathbb C^n\). In the present paper the authors investigate in particular immersions into the complex projective space. In order to do so, they use the correspondence between Lagrangian immersions into the complex projective space and Legendrian immersions. They show how to associate with a Legendre curve in \(\mathbb C^2\) and two Legendrian immersions of dimensions \(n_1\) and \(n_2\), respectively, a new Legendrian immersion. In order for the combined immersion to be \(C\)-minimal it is necessary and sufficient that both original immersions are \(C\)-minimal and that the Legendre curve in \(\mathbb C^2\) satisfies an additional differential equation. It is also shown that the above results remain valid if one replaces \(C\)-minimal by minimal. In this case, the construction is very similar to the well known Calabi product of hyperbolic affine spheres. In the final two sections the authors deal with immersions into the complex Euclidean space and the complex hyperbolic space.
