Let \(K\) be a finite extension of \(\mathbb{Q}_{p}\). Recall that a Mumford curve over \(K\) can be described as the quotient \(\mathcal{H}/\Gamma\) where \(\Gamma\subset\text{PGL}_{2}(K)\) is a Schottky group and \(\mathcal{H}\subset\mathcal{P}^{1}_{K}\) is the rigid analytic space obtained by removing the limit points of \(\Gamma\). Let \(V\) be a finite-dimensional \(K\)-vector space with a representation of \(\Gamma\). In 1988, \textit{E. de Shalit} [Sémin. Théor. Nombres, Univ. Bordeaux I 1987/1988, Exp. No. 47 (1988; Zbl 0693.14009)] proved a formula for the cup product of two vector-valued differential forms \(\nu,\,\mu\in\Omega^{1}(\mathcal{H},V)\) on a Mumford \(\mathcal{H}/\Gamma\) involving Coleman-integration of holomorphic \(V\)--valued one-forms. This formula was later reproved by \textit{A. Iovita} and \textit{M. Spiess} [Invent. Math. 154, No. 2, 333--384 (2003; Zbl 1099.11032)]. In the article under review, the author gives an alternative short proof of de Shalit's formula based on the theory of the double index, introduced by the author [Isr. J. Math. 120, Pt. B, 335--359 (2000; Zbl 1001.19004)].
