\textit{T. V. Kadeishvili} proved in [Russ. Math. Surv. 35, No. 3, 231--238 (1980); translation from Usp. Mat. Nauk 35, No. 3(213), 183--188 (1980; Zbl 0521.55015)] that the homology of a differential algebra posses an \(A_\infty\)-algebra structure such that there exists an \(A_\infty\)-map from the homology to the original algebra which is a quasi-isomorphism. The paper under review offers a further generalization of this result. An \(A_\infty\)-algebra \((V,m)\) has a harmonic projection, if there exist linear maps \(\Pi\) and \(H:V\to V\), \(\deg(\Pi)=0\), \(\deg(H)=-1\) such that \(\Pi^2=\Pi\) and \(\text{id}-\Pi=m_1H+Hm_1\) and \(m_1(B)=0\), where \(B=\Im(\Pi)\). The author proves the following result. Let \(F:(V,m)\to (V',m')\) be an \(A_\infty\)-morphism of \(A_\infty\)-algebras which have harmonic projections. If \(F\) is a quasi-isomorphism, then there is an ``inverse'' quasi-isomorphism \((V',m')\to (V,m)\). Actually the author constructs such a map using oriented planar trees.
