The authors deal with a three species periodic competition system which subjects to homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. The authors consider the following system of parabolic equations: \[ \left\{ \begin{aligned} u_t-k_1\Delta u=u\left( a-bu-cv-dw\right) ,x\in \Omega,\;t\in \mathbb{R}\\ v_t-k_2\Delta v=v\left( e-fu-gv-hw\right) ,x\in \Omega,\;t\in \mathbb{R}\\ w_t-k_3\Delta w=w\left( k-lu-mv-nw\right) ,x\in \Omega,\;t\in \mathbb{R}\;\end{aligned} \right. \] where \(\Omega \subseteq \mathbb{R}^N\)\ is a smooth bounded domain with the boundary \( \partial \Omega \) of class \(C^2\); \(u, v, w\) are the population densities of the three species respectively \(k_1, k_2, k_3\) and \(a, e, k\) represent the diffusion coefficients and the growth rates of \(u, v, w, k_1, k_2, k_3, a, b, c , \dots, n \) are all sufficiently smooth strictly positive \(T\)-periodic (in time \(t\)) functions defined on \(\overline{\Omega }\times \mathbb{R}^N.\) The authors give first some bounds for the positive solutions by all coefficients of the system. Then they present some sufficient conditions which ensure that there do not exist strictly positive solutions. Using these conditions, the authors discuss the asymptotic behavior of the solutions, precisely one species dies out.
