Wavelets on the two-sphere and other conic sections (Q2384702)

A review of the continuous wavelet transform on the two-sphere, both by group theoretical approach and the geometrical method based on conformal invariance, is given. The discretization of the spherical continuous wavelet transform is discussed which yields various types of frames. In addition the construction of the transform on other conic sections, like hyperboloids and paraboloids, is briefly outlined.
