The famous de Finetti theorem about classical probability distributions states that a symmetric probability distribution of \(k\) random variables, \(P_{X_1 \dots X_k}^{(k)}\), that is infinitely exchangeable, i. e. can be extended to an \(n\)-particle symmetric distribution for all \(n > k\), can be written as a convex combination of identical product distributions. Its quantum analog states that if \(n-k\) systems of an \(n\)-partite permutation-invariant state are traced out, the resulting state can be approximated by a convex combination of tensor product states. In the present work, the authors derive an approximation theorem for states in spaces of irreducible representations of the unitary group and improve the upper bound on the trace distance. The ``half''-analog of the de Finetti (a second de Finetti-style) theorem is proved for a particular class states, so called symmetric Werner states.
