    The authors consider a pointwise stabilization for a model arising in the control of noise. The model is described by a coupled p.d.e. They prove that the solutions of the model are not exponentially stable at high and law frequencies. In the main result of the paper they give a decay estimate at high frequencies that is valid for regular initial data while clarifying that the behaviour of the constant which intervenes in this estimation there, functions as the frequency of cut. The method used is based on a regularity result combined with an observability inequality for the corresponding undamped problem.
