Let \(G\) be a locally compact Hausdorff group, \(C_b(G)\) the Banach space of continuous bounded complex valued functions and \(M(G)\) the Banach algebra of complex bounded measures on it. If \(\sigma\circ\sigma(x)=x\), \(\sigma(xy)=\sigma(y)\sigma(x)\) for all \(x,y\in G\) then \(\sigma\) is a continuous involution of \(G\); a measure \(\mu\in M(G)\) is \(\sigma\)-invariant iff \(\int_G f d\mu=\int_G f\circ\sigma\, d\mu.\) With \(\sigma\)-invariant \(\mu\in M(G),\) the authors offer the solutions \(f,g\in C_b(G)\setminus \{0\}\) of the pair of equations (the first is called \(K(\mu),\) it is not quite easy to find in the paper what it is, although ``\(K(\mu)\)'' is quoted already in the abstract) \[ \int_G \int_G f(ysxtz)\,d\mu(s)\,d\mu(t)= \int_G\int_G f(xsytz)\, d\mu(s)\,d\mu(t), \] \[ \int_G f(xty)\,d\mu(t) +\int_G f[xt\sigma(y)]\,d\mu(t)=2 f(x)g(y) \] \((x,y,z\in G).\) Particular attention is given to the case \(g=f.\) Remarks: 1. Compared to the authors' paper [ibid. 2004, No. 13--16, 847--859 (2004; Zbl 1074.39025)], the first and last name of the first author is switched. 2. The first equation occurring in the paper is labelled (3), while (1) and (2) follow after (8)].
