The reviewer has defined an Abelian group \(G\) to be `coslender', if \(\Hom(G,\mathbb{Z})=0\) [\textit{R. Dimitrić}, Glas. Mat., III. Ser. 21(41), 327-329 (1986; Zbl 0618.20038)]. The author of the paper under review replaces the integers \(\mathbb{Z}\) in this definition by an arbitrary Abelian group \(C\) and denotes \(\mathfrak A_C=\{A\in\mathbf{Ab}:\Hom(A,C)=0\}\). Then he proceeds to state results and proofs that are mutatis mutandis the results and proofs of the above mentioned paper of R. Dimitrić as well as the following papers: [\textit{R. Dimitrić} and \textit{B. Goldsmith}, Glas. Mat., III. Ser. 23(43), No. 2, 241-246 (1988; Zbl 0674.20032) and \textit{R. Dimitrić}, Pitman Res. Notes Math. Ser. 204, 41-50 (1989; Zbl 0671.20053)]. The only result that is not a verbatim transliteration of the reviewer's results is the following generalization of Theorem 3, Dimitrić (1986) [op. cit.]: Let \(C\) be a torsion-free Abelian group of rank one and type \(t\), and \(A\) an Abelian group such that the type of each non-zero element in \(A/T(A)\) is not less than \(t\). Then \(\Hom(A,C)=0\) iff \(A/TA\) does not contain a direct summand isomorphic to \(C\).
