The paper deals with the problem of phase separation in eutectic alloy. Following the introduction of the Helmholtz free energy involving the potential energy between particles, one obtains the expressions of the surface tension coefficients, and then the explicit expression of the coefficients of the diffusion flux are calculated. Sharp-interface limit is used to analyze the effect of a simple anisotropy of the gradient coefficients which turn to be functions of the concentration. This analysis put in evidence jump conditions at the interface between the two phases, and it is shown that classical thermodynamics provides also interesting results on this topic. Numerical methods conclude the paper.
