Numerical simulation of the active magnetic regenerator (Q2387381)

The authors develop a technique for the calculation of values of the thermo-magnetic function of a magnetic material. This approach takes into account the values of the adiabatic temperature change of the material. It is solved an optimization problem in order to obtain the optimal design parameters of the active magnetic regenerator such as the bed length, the time period of the flow, and the volumetric flow rate of the fluid. Numerical, stability and convergence results are also contained in the present paper.
