Cauchy problem for a system of equations of ultraparabolic type (Q2388183)

The author studies the Cauchy problem for a system of equation of ultraparabolic type \[ \sum_{| k|\leq2} A_k(x,t)D_x^k u-\sum b_i(t)\frac{\partial u}{\partial t_i}=f(x,t) \] and \[ \left(\sum_{i=1}^m \frac{x_i}{r^{2k-1}}\right)\cdot\Delta^t\delta=0\quad \text{for }(x,t)\in Q=\mathbb R^n\times D \] where \(D\subset \mathbb R^m\). He proves the existence of the solution of such equation by using the method of characteristics for the cases \(\Gamma\) is a noncharacteristic and characteristic for the equation \(\sum_{i=1}^m b_i(t)\frac{\partial w}{\partial t_i}=0\).
