The authors consider the linear nonnegative dynamical system of the form \[ x(k+1)= Ax(k)+Bu(k),\;x(0)=x_0,\;k\in\mathbb{N} \] where \(x\in\mathbb{R}^n\), the matrices \(A\in R^{n\times n}\) and \(B\in R^{n\times m}\) are nonnegative. The system is partially monotonic if there exists a matrix \(Q=\text{diag}[q_1,q_2,\dots,q_n]\) \((q_i=\pm 1\), \(i=1,\dots,n)\) such that for every initial condition \(x_0\) the implication \(0\leq k_1\leq k_2\Rightarrow Qx(k_1)\leq Qx(k_2)\) holds with respect to every component. Some results are extended to the nonlinear case of the system.
