A particular iteration in a closed convex subset of a real uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach space is analyzed. Main ingredients of the algorithm are a contracting mapping and mappings generated by an infinite family of nonexpansive mappings. Strong convergence is proven to a common fixed point of the nonexpansive mappings, provided this set is not empty.
