The paper under review deals with the so called Gibbs-Maggi-Appell (GMA) flow corresponding to classical mechanical systems with non-linear constraints. The GMA vector field is the second-order vector field which defines the d'Alembert-Chetaev trajectories. In this paper a criterion for hyperbolicity of the GMA flow is given, as well as a criterion for the existence of an invariant measure. The last section is devoted to the rolling of a ball on a surface parallel to Delaunay, a system with linear constraints and conservation of volume.
