Let \(X\) be a complex compact manifold endowed with a Hermitian form \(\omega\). Let, further, \(\Sigma\) be a compact surface with boundary and let \(f:\Sigma\to X\) be a smooth function holomorphic in the interior of \(\Sigma\). Assume that \(\Sigma\) is endowed with the Poincaré metric \(h\). It is known that \(f^\ast\omega=\varPhi^2h\), where \(\varPhi\) is smooth and \(\varPhi\leq M/\sqrt{2}\). The main result of the paper is the following generalization of the Ahlfors inequality: either \(\text{aera}_\omega(f(\Sigma))\leq-2\pi M^2\min\{0,\chi(\Sigma)\}\) or \(\text{aera}_\omega(f(\Sigma))\leq 2\exp(8M^2) \text{length}_\omega(f(\partial\Sigma))\).
