Consider a compact space \(Y\). A transformation \(\Lambda:S^1\times Y\to S^1\times Y\) is an almost periodically forced flow (APCF) if there is an almost periodic map \(T:Y\to Y\) so that \(\Lambda\) is of the form \((x,y)\mapsto(f(x,y),T(y))\) for some \(f\) which is fiber-wise monotone in the first coordinate (and similarly defined for the case of a continuous flow \(\{\Lambda_t\}_{t\in\mathbb R}\).) In this paper the authors broadly study dynamical and topological behaviors of minimal sets for an APCF, showing strong results including the following: Every minimal set is either point-distal or is residually Li-Yorke chaotic. A minimal set is either an almost finite to one extension of the base, or is the entire phase space, or is a Cantorian. If there is more than one minimal set, then each is an almost finite cover of the base. In the final section, the authors use their results to examine the projective bundle flow generated by an almost periodic \(sl(2,\mathbb R)\)-valued cocycle, giving a complete classification of the minimal sets.
