Under some assumptions, the authors obtain a local time solvability result by Schauder's fixed point theorem and a global time solvability result by Zorn's Lemma for the Cauchy problem of a nonlinear evolution equation: \(u'(t)+\partial \varphi^t(u;u(t))+G(u(t))\ni f(t)\) (\(0<t<T\)), \(u(t)=u_0(t)\) (\(-\delta_0\leq t\leq 0\)) in a real Hilbert space \(H\), where \(\partial \varphi^t(u;\cdot)\) is the subdifferential of a proper, lower semicontinuous, convex function \(\varphi^t(u;\cdot)\) on \(H\), \(u'=\frac{du}{dt}\), \(u_0:[-\delta_0,0]\to H\) and \(f:(0,T)\to H\).
