The authors study \(\sigma\)-additive measures defined on a \(\sigma\)-algebra with values in a Dedekind complete weakly \(\sigma\)-distributive \(\ell\)-group \(R\). In particular, they present versions of the Schur lemma, the Vitali-Hahn-Saks theorem and the Nikodým convergence theorem with respect to \(D\)-convergence. A sequence \((r_n)_{n\in\mathbb N}\) in \(R\) is said to be \(D\)-convergent to \(r\in R\) if there are \(a_{i,n}\in R\) (\(i,n\in\mathbb{N}\)) such that for all \(i\in\mathbb{N}\) the sequence \((a_{i,n})_{n\in\mathbb{N}}\) is decreasing with \(\inf_{{n\in\mathbb N}}a_{i,n}=0\), and for every \(\varphi :\mathbb N\longrightarrow{\mathbb N}\), there is an \(n_0\in\mathbb N\) with \(|r_n-r|\leq\sup_{i\in\mathbb N}a_{i,\varphi(i)}\) whenever \(n\geq n_0\).
