This paper is concerned with the study of the asymptotic behavior of solutions to a boundary blow-up problem for a quasilinear elliptic equation in a bounded domain. The equation depends nonlinearly on the solution and on its gradient. The analysis is performed by the sub-supersolution method and by the Karamata regular variation theory.
