    The author studies the connection between Morava \(K\)-theory \(K(n)^{*}\) and Chow groups \(\mathrm{CH}^i\). Throughout the article, he considers generalized oriented cohomology theory (g.o.c.t.) over a field \(k\) of characteristic \(0\). For definitions and facts on g.o.c.t., cf. [\textit{A. Vishik}, Preprint, ``Stable and unstable operations in algebraic cobordism'', \url{arXiv:1209.5793}]. Let \(F_{K(n)}\) be the formal group law for \(K(n)^{*}\), \(\mathbb{Z}_{(p)}\) the localization of \(\mathbb{Z}\) at \(p\), and \(\tilde{K}(n)^{*}\) the direct summand of \(K(n)^{*}\) (cf. [\textit{I. Panin}, Homology Homotopy Appl. 11, No. 1, 349--405 (2009; Zbl 1169.14016)]). In this article, he gives a sketch of the proof of the following result. For all \(i\geq 1\), there exist operations \(c_i\) from \(K(n)^{*}\) to \(\mathrm{CH}^i \otimes \mathbb{Z}_{(p)}\) possessing the following properties: {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize}\item[(1)] Cartan's formula holds for \(c_{\mathrm{tot}} = \sum_{i=1}^{\infty} c_i\): \[ c_{\mathrm{tot}}(u + v) = F_{K(n)}(c_{\mathrm{tot}(u)}, c_{\mathrm{tot}(v)}); \] \item[(2)] the operations \(c_i\) freely generate the ring of operations in \(\mathrm{CH}^{*} \otimes \mathbb{Z}_{(p)}\), i.e., \[ [\tilde{K}(n)^{*},\mathrm{CH}^{*} \otimes \mathbb{Z}_{(p)}] = \mathbb{Z}_{(p)}[[c_1, c_2, \ldots ]]. \] \end{itemize}}
