This paper is focused on the Dirichlet problem for stationary Hamilton-Jacobi equations \[ \begin{cases} H(x,u(x),\nabla u(x))=0, & \text{ in }\Omega \\ u(x)=\varphi(x), & \text{ on }\partial\Omega,\end{cases}\tag{1} \] where \(\Omega\) is an open bounded domain of \(\mathbb{R}^d\) and the Hamiltonian \(H(x,u(x),\nabla u(x))\) is measurable in the space variable \(x\) and continuous with respect to \(u\) and \(\nabla u\). Convexity and superlinearity of \(H\) with respect to \(\nabla u\) are also assumed. The author proves the existence and uniqueness of a Lipschitz continuous maximal generalized solution to the above equation under some appropriate assumptions. When \(H\) is continuous with respect to the space variable, the author shows that this unique solution coincides with the classical viscosity solution. In addition, a continuous dependence property of the solution on the boundary datum \(\varphi\) is achieved. Finally, the author provides an example to clarify the assumptions needed for \(H\) and the continuous approximation Hamiltonian \(H_n\) during the proofs.
