This paper is about what the author calls the \textit{quantum quaternion sphere} \(C(H_q^{2n})\), which is defined by certain generators and relations, and was shown in [\textit{B. Saurabh}, Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Math. Sci. 127, No. 1, 133--164 (2017; Zbl 1370.58002)] to be the same as the \(C^*\)-algebra generated by the elements of the first and last row of the fundamental matrix of the quantum symplectic group (what the author calls \(SP_q(2n)\) but what most people would denote \(Sp_q(n)\)). The main result (Theorem 4.5) is that \(C(H_q^{2n})\) is isomorphic to the usual quantum sphere \(C(S^{4n-1}_q)\). Thus up to isomorphism as a \(C^*\)-algebra it does not depend on the choice of \(q\) in \([0, 1)\).
