The author studies the convolution equation \(\mu\ast u=f\), where \(\mu\) and \(f\) are given. He investigates the possible holomorphic extensions of the Fourier transform \(\widehat u\) of \(u\) in terms of properties of \(\mu\). The main results related to the holomorphic extendability of the Fourier transform are the following two theorems: {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize}\item[--] Let \(f:\mathbb Z^n\longrightarrow\mathbb C\) have support in a cone \(K\) and satisfy \(|f(x)|\leq Ce^{\sigma\cdot x}\), \(x\in K\). Then \(\widehat f\in\mathcal O(\text{int}\{\zeta\in\mathbb C^n: \text{Im}\zeta\in\sigma+K^{\text{dual}}\})\), where \(K^{\text{dual}}:=\{\eta\in\mathbb R^n: \forall_{x\in K}: \eta\cdot x\geq0\}\). \item[--] Let \(f:\mathbb R^n\longrightarrow\mathbb C\) satisfy \(|f_{\mathbb Z}(x)|\leq Ce^{\sigma\cdot x}\), \(x\in K\cap\mathbb Z^n\), where \(f_{\mathbb Z}(x):=\sum_{a\in C(x)}|f(a)|\), \(C(x):=\{a\in\mathbb R^n: \lceil|a_j|\rceil=|x_j|\), \(j=1,\dots,n\}\), and \(K\) is the smallest closed convex cone which contains the set \(\{x\in\mathbb Z^n: C(x)\neq\varnothing\}\). Then \(\widehat f\in\mathcal O(\text{int}\{\zeta\in\mathbb C^n: \text{Im}\zeta\in\sigma+K^{\text{dual}}\})\). \end{itemize}}
