      The paper deals with spin glasses on the Bethe lattice for both the finite coordination and the infinite coordination limit (the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model). The purpose is to review the present understanding of marginally stable systems in the mean field theory and to propose new points of view. In this way it is an interesting review paper with many results not yet largely diffused.
